Although a WhatsApp group can be a nice place to virtually hang out with your friends, relatives, and/or colleagues, sometimes the notifications can get overwhelming. In such cases, most people quit the groups, ending up with a couple of unhappy friends.

Fortunately, WhatsApp allows you to completely turn off the group notifications. When the notifications are turned off, no matter what activities take place in the group, you are never disturbed with notification sounds.

In order to turn off WhatsApp group notifications on your iPhone, follow these steps:

Note: In order to re-enable the WhatsApp group notifications in your iPhone, you must follow the above steps while sliding to enable the 'Alerts' toggle button when on step 6.
